Everything’s in and everything’s up at the Jackson Gallery on Portland, for our latest exhibition, Up and Coming 2014.
The exhibition features eleven Up and Coming artists from the Dorset area covering a variety of styles and it’s all looking very well indeed.
The artists included in this exhibition are:
Caro Lester, Harvey Weschke, James Wedge, Julia Gojtan, Juliet Evans, Katie Rewse, Megan Dunford, Nathalie Moore, Rebeka Tarane, Stephen Banks and Tom Margin. You can view details of each artist on the About Up and Coming 2014 page and there are some snaps of the exhibition below (more pics on the way).
The styles of work are varied and mediums include painting, illustration, digital design and photography. And BONUS! The work is for sale at very reasonable prices. If you’re looking for something different for yourself or for C*******s, look no further. A couple of the artists have not exhibited before so you can be sure of picking up some rare and original work. All the work is available off the wall and some have unframed prints.
These artists were selected from an open submissions process in October / November and we also have a few Pop Up Dorset favourites in the exhibition.
Fernando Velázquez has provided six new small paintings, part of a new series of work which will form an exhibition in the Spring of 2015. Fernando’s paintings genuinely stop you in your tracks … we’ve seen it happen at the exhibition. These paintings are also for sale … definitely a present for self 😉
Also you’ll find beautiful ceramics from Tiffany Scull, contemporary aluminium jewellery from Caroline Parrott and furniture maker Alice Blogg has some Christmas gifts on offer.
If all that wasn’t enough, the C*******s tree is up and the mince pies are tasting fab. Jackson Gallery also have a range of gifts and cards as well as the coffee and cake.
Get yourself along … the exhibition ends at 4pm on Sunday 21st December 2014.
